The Memphis Grizzlies are set to host the defending champion Denver Nuggets on Friday night, and history could be made by reigning Finals MVP Nikola Jokic. One triple-double shy of 107 for his career, Jokic could tie Los Angeles Lakers legend LeBron James for 4th all-time in that impressive statistical category.

Jokic tallied a triple-double vs. James and the Lakers in Denver's season opener victory, and seems to be recording them with ease at this point in his career. A triple-double on Friday would also pull Jokic into a tie with Hall-of-Fame point guard Jason Kidd, who also had 107 in his career.

With his next triple-double, Jokic will only trail Russell Westbrook, Oscar Robertson, and Magic Johnson for the all-time lead in that category. Westbrook is of course the only active player on that list, and still very much capable of adding to his tally, but the other two could be in reach of Jokic within the next couple seasons.

While James is also active, and could continue tallying triple-doubles of his own, the Lakers star only had two last season. Jokic led the league with 29 triple-doubles last season, and could tally even more this season. Stats are of course not something Jokic cares much about, but his numbers are always ridiculous, and this next milestone will be a big one for the Nuggets star.
