According to Skip Bayless, who has a close relationship with Lil Wayne, the legendary rapper is attempting to connect with Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant:

"Lil Wayne - I said this on a previous podcast, texted me, he said, 'Hey, can you connect me with Ja? Because I could help him. I've been there, I've done all this, I've wound up in prison on Rikers Island. I know what happens. I know where you can go wrong, and I know what's right.' I said I'll try. I reached out to Ja. Would you sit with Lil Wayne? Would you talk with Lil Wayne? Wayne would fly to him, he'd fly to Memphis in a heartbeat... I got nothing back from Ja. Didn't expect anything back."

As previously mentioned, Bayless has a close relationship with Wayne, which explains this connection. According to Bayless, Wayne was open to meeting with Morant, but the Grizzlies star did not respond about possibly setting this up.

Morant is expected to face a significant suspension to begin next season, which will likely be announced shortly after the NBA Finals conclude. NBA commissioner Adam Silver has made it clear that the league's investigation has concluded, and an announcement on Morant's punishment would come after the completion of the NBA Finals.

As for right now, Morant has been offered support from Lil Wayne.
