The New Orleans Pelicans and Memphis Grizzlies are set to begin their respective seasons on Wednesday night when the two Western Conference teams face off in Memphis. After playing just 29 games last season, star forward Zion Williamson is listed as available for this game vs. the Grizzlies.

Williamson will not get to face off with Ja Morant, as the star point guard will be sidelined for the first 25 games due to his suspension, but he will face a Grizzlies team that is motivated to make a run in the West this year. After being eliminated by the 7th seed Los Angeles Lakers in the opening round of last season, Memphis certainly wants to advance further than that this season.

For New Orleans, they are hopeful that a healthy Zion Williamson can help bring them back to the playoffs. Williamson has played just 114 games since being drafted first overall in 2019, but he has been dominant in those games, with a career average of 25.8 PPG on 60.5% from the field. A ridiculous talent, Williamson's only issue has been health to start his career, which is something he and the Pelicans hope will hold up throughout the season.

This should be a fun matchup between two teams looking to start the season well, and it will tip-off at 8:00 PM EST in Memphis.
