Trae Young Becomes 8th Hawk to Score 9,000 Career Points
It was not the best first half for the Hawks against the Hornets tonight, but one of the highlights was Trae Young becoming the 8th Atlanta Hawk to ever score 9,000 career points.
Young scored 10 points in the first half but only shot 2-10 from the field. The Hawks led 52-51 and are looking for a win in their season opener.
Jalen Johnson led the way for the Hawks with 13 points on 5-7 shooting and six rebounds. Young and Murray combined to go 4-18 from the field in the first half and 16 points. They shot 0-5 combined from three.
It has been a great career so far for one of the best playmakers in the NBA and hitting 9,000 points is what should be the first of many milestones this season for the Hawks point guard.
