Miami Heat forward Jimmy Butler has never needed to search too far for motivation on the court.

On Tuesday, it hit him right in the face.

After guard Gary Harris hit a jumper to make it a 10-point game in the fourth quarter, Butler got a little agitated. He responded by making consecutive 3-pointers that put the Heat on the way to a 125-91 victory at Kaseya Center.

Butler finished with 23 points on 6 of 9 shooting.

"I got mad that buddy scored on me," Butler said. "I'm supposed to be able to stay in front of guys. He scored. I took it personal, I did."

Butler has made 36 of 81 shots from the arc this season. The 44 percent is the highest of his career. He said he is focusing on making it to 50 percent long as it doesn't take from the rest of his game.

"It is the goal," Butler said. "I've got to take them with confidence but at the same time, I've got to attack the paint. I have to be who I am, who this squad needs me to be. When I'm open, take them. I think everybody wants me to shoot more of them."
