This summer, Miami Heat Guard Dru Smith had an impressive showing in Vegas.

It could lead to comparisons to former Heat guard Gabe Vincent.

Smith went undrafted in 2021 like Vincent two years prior. Last season, Smith spent brief stints with the Brooklyn Nets, Toronto Raptors, and Heat. He is under a two-way contract with Miami but showed much promise during the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas. In four games, He averaged 11.5 points, 5.0 assists, and 2.5 steals on 40.5 percent shooting from the field.

Vincent spent three seasons developing with the Heat before breaking out last season. He averaged 9.4 points and 2.5 assists, shooting 40.2 percent from the field. Smith, who is entering his second year of development, has a resemblance to Vincent's playing style.

Like Vincent, the 6-foot-3 Smith plays with hustle, using speed as an advantage defensively. He is also a solid playmaker.
