Eastern Conference Recaps, April 18: Derrick White Joins Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown In Leading Boston Celtics Past Atlanta Hawks

The Boston Celtics are now up 2-0 against the Atlanta Hawks in Eastern Conference series

So much attention goes to Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown on the Boston Celtics

On Tuesday, Derrick White showed he is capable when needed.

He had 26 points, seven rebounds and three blocks in the Celtics' 119-106 victory against the Atlanta Hawks in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference playoffs. The Celtics lead the series 2-0.

“(Tatum and Brown) get a lot of attention. It just opens up the court for myself," White said. "When the opportunity is there I just have to attack and do what I do.”

Tatum finished with 29 points and 10 while Brown added 18 points. Dejounte Murray led the Hawks with 29 points while Trae Young added 24 on 9 of 22 shooting.

“I can be better,” Young said. “I didn't shoot the ball really well. I had some turnovers where I was just driving and it just left my hands. But I'm going to be better at home.”
