Duncan Robinson Scowl Among Highlights For Miami Heat In Game 2 Victory
Miami Heat forward Duncan Robinson simply got caught up in the emotions of the moment.
The normally calm Robinson unleashed a mean mug after hitting a basket in the fourth quarter of Sunday's victory against the Denver Nuggets in Game 2 of the NBA Finals.
It was arguably the signature moment of the Heat tying the series at 1.
"I surprised myself with the fact that I pulled that one out," Robinson said.."That was not premeditated at all. That was a spur-of-the-moment thing. To be honest, I don't get a lot of moments in the season to break that one out; so when you get one, you've got to try to take advantage of it, I guess."
Robinson finished with 10 points in what was a bounce back game for him after struggling in the series opener. The scowl was reminiscent of guard Tyler Herro going viral during the 2020 playoffs.
"Mostly just try to play with a certain level of joy," Robinson said.. "I feel like I play my best when I'm having fun, and I'm always going to try to be respectful with it but having fun and enjoying just this stage. This is an incredible stage to be on as a player. That is when you dream about, so it doesn't make any sense to get here and not enjoy it."
