Dwyane Wade Outshined LeBron James, Kobe Bryant In 2008 Olympics
As Miami Heat legend Dwyane Wade enters the Hall of Fame, fans and analysts are recalling some of the best moments of his careers.
A video on social media recently resurfaced of his 2008 Olympics run, where he averaged 16 points, four rebounds and 2.3 steals. He outscored LeBron James and Kobe Bryant in this span.
In the Gold Medal game against Spain, Wade had a team-high 27 points on 75 percent shooting. Wade aided “The Redeem Team” that looked to bounce back from their bronze finish in 2004.
“I think we all will say we were embarrassed,” Wade said to People magazine. “We were the big bad Americans who got paid a lot of money to do what we do. We were the best in the world. And we went over there in 2004 and we got smacked, just literally smacked. That was very humbling and very embarrassing for us.”
This was one of the many displays of leadership and domination that places Wade amongst the best shooting guards of all time. He will inducted Saturday night.
