Dwyane Wade Ponders Potential Impact On Miami Heat In 2020 NBA Finals

Miami Heat legend Dwyane Wade wonders if he could've assisted them in taking down the Los Angeles Lakers in the 2020 NBA Finals
In this story:

All-time great Dwyane Wade won three NBA championships with the Miami Heat during his career before retiring at 37 years old after the 2019 season.

The year following, Miami reached the NBA Finals, led by Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo. However, they were overwhelmed by the superstar duo of LeBron James and Anthony Davis in six games.

One user replied to a post from 'theOGsShow' asking, "D-Wade, if you played for the 2020 Miami Heat, does Miami win vs. LeBron’s Lakers? How many games the series go?"

The Hall of Famer replied, "I was thinking that while the series was going on. Like what could I have brought to that team!"

Their guard rotation was highlighted by a young Tyler Herro, Duncan Robinson, Kendrick Nunn, and Goran Dragic. The group performed well as a collective, but struggled at times. Wade could have provided a veteran scoring presence, but not to the level of his former self. The Heat legend was regarded as one of the best guards of his generation. In his final season, Wade averaged 15 points and 4.2 assists on 43.3 percent shooting.

His impact would have been felt, but likely not significant enough to take down James and Davis at the peak of their powers in Los Angeles.
