Dwyane Wade Purchases Ownership Stake With Chicago Sky Of WNBA
Miami Heat legend Dwyane Wade continues his mark outside of the basketball world.
Wade recently purchased stake in the Chicago Sky of the WNBA. He announced the news via Twitter.
"It’s an incredible feeling being on this side of history," Wade tweeted. "To see growth, on the business side, for something that I’ve been passionate about my whole life is an amazing feeling. There are amazing things happening in the @WNBA. It’s official! This is for the home team– literally."
This comes on the heels of Wade becoming part owner of the Utah Jazz in 2021. Wade is regarded as the greatest player in Heat history, spending the bulk of his career in Miami before retiring in 2019.
In August, Wade becomes a member of the Naismith Basketball Memorial Hall of Fame. He is the first player drafted by the Heat to earn the honor.
