ESPN's Tim Legler Says Miami Heat Have Benefitted From A Favorable Playoff Path

NBA analyst Tim Legler says he will judge the Miami Heat in the next round

The Miami Heat are one victory from the Eastern Conference finals but at least one NBA analyst thinks they have benefitted from a favorable bracket. 

ESPN's Tim Legler recently he thinks the Heat had an easier path during the postseason. 

"I think some of it, to be fair, a little bit the path," Legler said on an appearance on ESPN's Pardon The Interruption. "They got a Milwaukee team with two-and-a-half games without Giannis Antetokounmpo." 

The Heat defeated the top-seeded Bucks, who played without their star player because of a back injury. They are now ahead 3-1 against the New York Knicks in the conference semifinals. 

"Now you get a Knicks team that doesn't have a superstar," Legler said. "They just don't have enough to challenge a team like Miami that's got depth and they're incredibly well-coached." 

Legler said we will find out the real Heat team if they make the conference finals. 

"We won't really know good the Heat are until the next round," Legler said. "They're either going to get Boston or Philly. You're going to have then bring it on both ends ... I'm still reserving judgment on how exactly good this team is."
