Fake NBA Memo Could Actually Prove Half Truth If Miami Heat Fall To Boston Celtics
The Internet is full of fake images and false truths, ranging from celebrities to politics to science to even sports.
Many NBA fans were recently duped by a fake memo that claimed it was sent from the office of NBA Communications before the NBA Finals.
It had winning LeBron James winning his fifth championship by defeating the Boston Celtics in Game 7 of the Finals. James was supposed to score 53 points in Game 7, closing the gap with Michael Jordan as the best player of all-time.
That obviously didn't happen with James getting swept by the Denver Nuggets in the Western Conference finals. That leaves the Heat left to completely disprove the memo.
It had the Celtics also defeating the Heat in seven games. That looked far-fetched when the Heat took a 3-0 lead in the best-of-7 series but the Celtics still have a chance to win in seven.
The Celtics can tie it at 3 with a victory in Saturday's Game 6 in Miami. If that happens, the odds are in favor of them closing it out in Game 7 on their home floor Monday.
So not only are the Heat playing for their seventh appearance in the Finals, but also to help prove the league isn't rigged for ratings and storylines.
