Gabe Vincent On The Miami Heat's Perceived Lack Of Respect: "We Don't Give A Damn"
The Miami Heat have been underdogs throughout the regular season and playoffs.
With the exception of the Eastern Conference semifinals versus the New York Knicks, the odds were against them in every postseason series. Now just three wins from an NBA championship, the Heat couldn't care less.
Guard Gabe Vincent drove home the point during the postgame interview on NBA TV with Shaquille O'Neal.
"I speak for my whole team when I say we don't give a damn," Vincent said. "We just want to get four wins."
Vincent led the Heat with 23 points in their Game 2 victory that tied the series at 1. He is yet another undrafted player who has flourished in the Heat's system.
"And our stars, Jimmy, Kyle, Bam, they have just been in my ear and telling me just to play, play basketball," Vincent said. "They trust my IQ of the game, and they want me just to go out there and play hard."
