Game 6s Against Boston Celtics Have Been Kind To Miami Heat Thanks To Bam Adebayo, Jimmy Butler
If the last two Game 6s between these teams are any indication, the odds are in favor of the Miami Heat tonight against the Boston Celtics.
The Heat won both games behind strong efforts from center Bam Adebayo and Jimmy Butler. Last year Butler had 47 points to force a Game 7 in Miami.
“It’s incredible to have a guy like him next to me," guard Kyle Lowry said of Butler that night. I’ve played with some great players, and he’s one of the best.”
The Heat ultimately lost Game 7 at home but that wasn't the case for Adebayo in 2020. His 32 points, 14 rebounds and five assists clinched a berth in the NBA Finals.
“Bam’s one of the great competitors already in this Association,” coach Erik Spoelstra said Sunday night. “He’s going to become one of the great winners in history. He moves the needle in every single way.”
So at least the Heat have plenty history on their side entering tonight.
