Stephen A. Smith responds to Jason Whitlock's criticism of his new book.

Veteran journalists Stephen A. Smith and Jason Whitlock are once again in the midst of sports media headlines after their public feud took another turn. Whitlock, in another one of his rants against ESPN, criticized Smith's book, "Straight Shooter: A Memoir of Second Chances and First Takes."

Smith responded to Whitlock on the latest episode of The Stephen A. Smith Show.

"I mean it from my soul when I say, 'This is the worst human being I've ever known,'" Smith said. "I don't know of another human being worse than Jason Whitlock. He is a piece of s***. He's the dude that's gonna have a funeral, and ain't gonna be no pallbearers. Might be two people to show up. He's that dude, he's the absolute worst. He lies and he incriminates. He tries to set people up to fail to big up himself because he can't do it on his own."

Whitlock is not new to controversy, as evidenced by his criticism of the Miami Heat team during their Trayvon Martin protests. He has constantly went after former Heat superstar LeBron James and former assistant coach Juwan Howard for their stances on social justice.

The veteran right-wing journalist responded to Smith’s show Thursday morning in a tweet.

I guess Katt Williams’ interview with Shannon Sharpe has everyone riled up and ready to feud.
