Miami Heat Defeat Milwaukee Bucks In Overtime To Advance To Eastern Conference Semifinals
It wasn't quite the same magnitude of Ray Allen's corner three in Game 6 of the 2013 NBA Finals but it sure had a similar feeling.
Miami Heat forward Jimmy Butler forced overtime Wednesday with a layup off an alley-oop on the inbound pass with less than a second left. That was all the Heat needed.
They outscored the Milwaukee Bucks in the extra session in a 128-126 victory in Game 5 to win the series 4-1. The Heat advanced to the Eastern Conference semifinals to face the New York Knicks. Game 1 of that series is Sunday.
Butler once again turned in a masterpiece of a performance, finishing with 42 points, eight rebounds and four assists. The Bucks' season is over after entering the playoffs as the No. 1 overall seed.
More on this game later.
