Miami Heat Fail To Close Out New York Knicks, Series Now Going 6

The New York Knicks force another game with Game 5 victory at Madison Square Garden

The Miami Heat were in position to close out the New York Knicks Wednesday at Madison Square Garden.

Instead, the Knicks and Jalen Brunson had other plans.

Brunson had a game-high 38 points in a 112-103 victory in Game 5 to keep the series alive. Game 6 is Friday in Miami.

After a strong first quarter, the Heat trailed by 10 at the end of the quarter. They were unable to make up the deficit. It was the first time Heat forward Jimmy Butler struggled in the postseason. He finished with just 19 points on 5 of 12 shooting.

Butler has been one of the best players in the playoffs this season. The winner of the Heat plays the Philadelphia 76ers or Boston Celtics in the conference finals.
