Miami Heat Fall To Denver Nuggets In NBA Finals
Miami Heat forward Jimmy Butler had one of the best first-round playoffs in NBA history.
He ended with it one of the worst Finals.
Butler had a bad turnover and a miss 3-pointer that ended the Heat's season in Game 5 of the NBA Finals. The Heat lost 94-89, falling 4-1 in the Finals. It is the Nuggets' first championship.
The Heat were attempting to become the first team to rally from a 3-1 deficit since the Cleveland Cavaliers against the Golden State Warriors in 2016. But it wasn't in the cards.
There was hope for the Heat before the game when guard Tyler Herro was reportedly upgraded to questionable. He never played after sustaining a broken hand in the first game of the playoffs against the Milwaukee Bucks.
The Heat were trying to become the first team to win a NBA championship as a No. 8 seed.
