Miami Heat Legend Dwyane Wade Reportedly Elected To Basketball Hall Of Fame
Miami Heat legend Dwyane Wade is reportedly set to join the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, Mass.
An ESPN report said Wade among those who are expected to be announced as inductees this weekend during the NCAA Final Four. Joining Wade are Dallas Mavericks forward Dirk Nowitzki, San Antonio Spurs coach Gregg Popovich, Spurs guard Tony Parker and Lakers center Pau Gasol.
Wade is generally regarded as the best player in Heat history. He's the franchise leader in points and won three championships. In 2006, he led the Heat to the first title and later captured two more while teaming with LeBron James and Chris Bosh.
Wade retired in 2019 after spending all but 18 months with the Heat. He briefly left to play for the Chicago Bulls and Cleveland Cavaliers before returning. The Heat retired Wade's jersey in 2020.
