Miami Heat general manager Andy Elisburg now has another title with the organization.

On Thursday, the team announced he was promoted to Executive Vice President of Basketball Operation. Elisburg maintains his role as general manager.

“Andy is so deserving of this promotion,” Heat team president Pat Riley in a statement released by the team. “Working together for 28 years has brought so many great transactions that have improved the franchise multiple times over the years, both on and off the court. More importantly, Andy’s knowledge and work ethic are second to none, he’s been involved with everything we do at the HEAT and we look forward to continued success.”

Elisburg, who is known as a salary cap expert, has been part of the organization since it started during the 1988-89 season.
