Miami Heat vs. Chicago Bulls: Five Major Takeaways

A look at the five biggest takeaways from the Miami Heat’s Monday night victory against the Chicago Bulls
In this story:

The Miami Heat got their revenge against the Chicago Bulls on Monday evening in a 118-110 victory.

Here’s a look at five major takeaways:

1. Duncan Robinson is more than the Heat’s X-factor.

With star Tyler Herro sidelined, Robinson has come to life on the offensive end. He is often viewed as a scoring spark off the bench, but is proving himself much more. In the win, he recorded 22 points on 66.6 percent shooting from beyond the arc.

2. Miami’s efficiency was key to their success.

The Heat recorded a season-high 65 points in the opening half. Their most impressive stat was shooting nearly 50 percent from three-point range on 35 attempts. Jimmy Butler contributed to their 85 percent shooting from the free throw line, going 8 of 9.

3. Jaime Jaquez Jr. looks like the steal of the draft.

The rookie out of UCLA continues to prove why he was well-deserving of the No. 18 pick. He finished the night with 19 points, four assists, three rebounds, and two steals.

4. Kevin Love provided scoring in a lackluster game for Caleb Martin.

Offensive struggles from Caleb Martin paved the way for Love. Martin scored two points on 16.7 percent shooting, while Love recorded 11 points on 3 of 5 shooting from three-point range.

5. Alex Caruso would be a great fit for the Heat's backcourt.

His scrappiness on the defensive end fits Miami’s mold of guards. During their time on the Heat, former playmakers such as Gabe Vincent and Kendrick Nunn resembled the playstyle of Caruso.
