Miami Heat's Jimmy Butler Now Hurting Milwaukee Bucks From 3-Point Line

Miami Heat forward Jimmy Butler totaled six 3-pointers in the last two games against Milwaukee Bucks

Miami Heat forward Jimmy Butler has never been known as a 3-point shooter.

That's not to say he is incapable of being effective from the arc.

Butler made all four of his 3-point attempts in Saturday's win against the Milwaukee Bucks in Game 3. The Bucks dared him to shoot and he took advantage.

"I feel like we've faced similar coverage in year's past," Spoelstra said. "You have to take those shots. He's worked on it diligently. You have to keep defenses honest. It's not as he's just pulling it out of the hat right now at this time of the year. He really works at it."

Butler normally makes living scoring in the paint and at the midrange level. The Heat will keep using him as a long-distance threat long as the Bucks give it to him. He's made a combined six 3-pointers in the last two games after only hitting 36 all season.

"Those were the appropriate plays," Spoelstra said. "That's the thing about Jimmy: whatever the play that you need to make, he'll make even if it's not necessarily something that he's done all the time."
