Miami Heat superstar Jimmy Butler performed well against the New York Knicks but couldn’t deliver on the final play.

With less than five seconds to go, Butler pulled a three-pointer from the corner. It missed, dropping the Heat to 10-6 in the regular season.

“I’m always gonna go for the win… We’re gonna live with the result,” Butler told Bally Sports Sun. “But I guarantee I’m making the next one.”

Butler finished the night with 23 points, three assists, and two rebounds on 50 percent shooting. It’s important to note that he sat out the beginning of the fourth quarter due to Miami’s commanding lead.

He is no stranger to impacting the game when it matters most, which is why Butler promised next time the result will be different. His postseason efforts over the past four years demonstrate his dominance in the clutch.

His miss was not the only problem Miami faced down the stretch after leading for the majority of the game.

"Get some stops, getting back in transition. I think we did a good job of that at first, then it got easy for them," Butler said. "And once you see the ball go in the basket, especially at home, a game can get ugly very quickly."

The Heat are seeking redemption on Saturday night against Mikal Bridges and the Brooklyn Nets (6-8).
