Miami Heat's Terry Rozier On The Adjustment: "Just Learning The Guys Still"

Miami Heat coach Erik Spoelstra knows it will take time before Terry Rozier gets fully acclimated on new team

Guard Terry Rozier struggled his three games with the Miami Heat.

On Monday, the Heat got a glimpse of the value he can bring to the team.

Rozier had his best game by scoring 21 points in a loss to the Phoenix Suns. Even in defeat, the performance was encouraging.

"I felt good," Rozier said. "Just learning the guys still. We haven't had a practice yet. I'm just going out there and doing what I need to do for the team."

Rozier, who has only been on the roster for less than a week, was less than spectacular upon his arrival. He averaged just 8.6 points on 30 percent shooting.

The Heat are hopeful of Rozier becoming their fourth high-scoring threat. He was a 20-point scorer with the Charlotte Hornets before the trade.

"It's a shame that we're working through what we're working through, so we can't fully capitalize on things that he can and will help our team," Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said. "We will get there. As tough as this is, as frustrated and angry as we all feel about it, you've got to get through it ... There's no denying this is an uncomfortable time and we've got to get work together and continue to burn through it."
