Rapper Trick Daddy always showed an interest in Florida sport teams. But the Miami icon gave a take which turned heads.

In a recent episode of his cooking show B**** I Got My Pots, he offered Michael Beasley his opinion on the Miami Heat’s “Big Three”.

“LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh were not no damn Big Three,” he said. “Chris Bosh was washed up, man.”

Beasley, who played with them in the 2013-14 season, explained why Bosh was key to their success.

“He understood the game and he had to take a lesser position. The position Chris Bosh was in, it was “Alright cool.” You see Melo, he took more money to try to do it on his own, which is admiral, we love that. Chris Bosh took a lesser position to make the whole engine go. You dig what I’m saying? And that’s the part we need to learn about the culture. When we come together like Chris Bosh is willing to do and the culture propels forward. So is that a Big Three? Hell yeah.”

Before Bosh came to Miami, he had a great career with the Toronto Raptors. Despite joining the Heat for less money, he still played a big role in their success. Unlike James and Wade, he wasn’t the type of player to amaze people with highlight dunks. But he was able to make 3-pointers when relied on.

The biggest moment was during Game 6 of the 2013 Finals against the San Antonio Spurs. Ray Allen hit the clutch 3-pointer to send the game into overtime but Bosh grabbed the rebound and passed to him. In overtime, Spurs guard Danny Green attempted to win the game with a 3-pointer but was blocked by Bosh.

With all things considered, Bosh was definitely important to the “Big Three”.
