NBA 2K24 Features Miami Heat’s Jimmy Butler Trolling Al Horford And The Boston Celtics
Some basketball fans have been critical about NBA 2K24’s player ratings and graphics.
Well, one thing they got right was Jimmy Butler’s personality and trash talk. One of the video game’s celebrations is Butler mocking Al Horford and the Boston Celtics during Game 3 of the Eastern Conference finals.
Horford signaled the Heat needed a timeout after draining a 3-pointer two games earlier. In typical Butler fashion, he responded with the same gesture amidst a blowout victory to go up 3-0 in the series.
This Heat-Celtics rivalry will likely adopt a new chapter in the 2024 postseason. Boston’s addition of Kristaps Porzingis, paired with Damian Lillard’s (eventual) arrival in Miami, may have them seeing each other in another series determining the Eastern champion. They faced each other in three of the last four conference finals but neither were able to clinch a championship. For Miami, neither Finals journey was anticipated because of mediocre regular seasons. With new expectations, this could finally be the year they hang a fourth banner in South Florida.
Expect the trash talk and intensity to replicate this upcoming season.
