Portland Trail Blazers Reportedly Still Searching For Damian Lillard Multi-Team Trades
Most fans are probably exhausted by the Miami Heat's trade talks with the Portland Trail Blazers for guard Damian Lillard.
Nearly three months have passed since Lillard requested a trade to Miami but nothing has changed. Both side have yet to strike a deal but ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski provided somewhat of an update during a recent appearance on NBA Today.
He said the Blazers are trying to speed up the process because training camps open in the next two weeks.
My sense is that the Blazers have done a lot more talking with teams in the last say 10 to 14 days than they did probably in at least a month plus prior,” Wojnarowski said. “And a big part of that is the league is back to work now after Labor Day, and training camp is starting to approach. And that’s the next real deadline in this process."
The Blazers are also still hoping to find deal involving at least three teams because they have no desire in trading for Heat guard Tyler Herro. In short, talks are no further than they were during the summer.
