Schedule For Miami Heat-New York Knicks In Eastern Conference Semifinals Announced, Series Opens Sunday
The Miami Heat and New York Knicks are set to rekindle their playoff rivalry from the late 1990s and early 2000s.
Both teams clinched their series with Game 5 victories Wednesday night. The Knicks defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers while the Heat upset the top-seeded Milwaukee Bucks.
The teams met in the playoffs four straight times from 1997-2000. Their last postseason series was 2012.
The following year the Heat and Knicks were the top two seeds in the East but their conference finals was spoiled by New York losing to the Indiana Pacers in the semifinals.
