Tyler Herro Once Again Ranked Below Austin Reaves In Top 100 Players List

While giving Miami Heat players Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo love, Tyler Herro makes late appearance on The Ringer's Top 100 list
In this story:

Before his injury, Tyler Herro was arguably the best player for the Miami Heat.

All it got him was another low ranking on a best player in the league list. Herro checked in at No. 72 on The Ringer's Top 100 players. It marked the second time Herro was ranked below Los Angeles Lakers guard Austin Reaves (No. 60). Both players often draw comparisons, especially last year when Reaves had a breakout postseason. It led ESPN to also put Reaves ahead of Herro in their preseason Top 100.

Heat forward Jimmy Butler and center Bam Adebayo received love from The Ringer, checking at No. 8 and No. 21. The ranking wasn't as kind to Herro, who was averaging a career-high 22.9 points, five rebounds and 4.6 assists before spraining an ankle in the eighth game of the season.

Reaves is averaging 13.7 points, 5.1 rebounds and 4.9 assists while playing alongside LeBron James and Anthony Davis. If Herro keeps pace, it will mark his third straight season of averaging at least 20 points while improving as a scorer off the dribble and facilitator.

Memphis Grizzlies guard Marcus Smart was another notable listed ahead of Herro. Stats aren't always the full story, but it seems Herro is having a problem gaining respect around the league.
