Miami Heat's Tyler Herro To Undergo Surgery On Hand Friday

Miami Heat guard Tyler Herro is expected to miss 4-6 weeks after breaking hand in Game 1 against Milwaukee Bucks

After breaking his hand against Milwaukee Bucks Sunday, Miami Heat guard Tyler Herro is set to have surgery Friday.

He is expected to miss 4-6 weeks.

Here's the latest on Herro:

The positive for Miami Heat guard Tyler Herro is he's remaining positive.

Herro is likely out for the remainder of the season after breaking his hand in Game 1 against the Milwaukee Bucks in the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.

Still, Herro is in good spirits.

"The biggest thing is he had a smile on his face and he wasn't discouraged about what happened to him," Heat center Bam Adebayo said. "I feel like that's the biggest thing you can bring to the team after a W."

Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said he felt bad for Herro once the injury happened. It occurred while he was diving for a loose ball just before halftime.

The Heat now have to find a way to supplant his 20 points a game.

“He was in so much pain, but I didn’t really know what it was.” coach Erik Spoelstra said. “A lot of times you jam a finger or this or that and you get a stinger on the elbow, and then it kind of wears off after 30 seconds. So I didn’t burn the timeout there because things were moving kind of fast and I couldn’t even understand what he was saying. “I’ve had enough of those where it isn’t something, and you’re able to run down and guys say they’re OK. But clearly he was not.
