Western Conference Recap: Houston Rockets Blowout LeBron James, Los Angeles Lakers Without Anthony Davis

The Houston Rockets win their fourth straight game behind a 28-point performance from guard Jalen Green. Center Alpren Sengun performed well, scoring 19 points on 8 of 10 shooting.
Without Anthony Davis, the Los Angeles Lakers struggled to score, finishing the night with less than 100 points. LeBron James recorded 18 points and six rebounds on 53.8 percent shooting in the 128-94 defeat.
-Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s high-scoring affairs continue in an eight-point victory against the Cleveland Cavaliers. He scored 43 points along with seven rebounds, six assists, and three steals. Rising stars Jalen Williams and Chet Holmgren combined for 30 points and 11 rebounds in the 128-120 showcase.
-The Minnesota Timberwolves Big Three dominated in their 122-101 win over the New Orleans Pelicans. Anthony Edwards recorded 26 points and eight assists on 45.5 percent shooting. Meanwhile, big men Karl-Anthony Towns and Rudy Gobert combined for 40 points and 24 rebounds on 4 of 5 shooting from three-point range.
With Zion Williamson and CJ McCollum sidelined, the Pelicans stood no chance against the healthy Timberwolves.
-In All-Star Bradley Beal’s debut for the Phoenix Suns, they defeated the Chicago Bulls 116-115 in overtime. Beal struggled, scoring 13 points in 23 minutes. Rather, Jusuf Nurkic and Grayson Allen were the stars of the show. Nurkic finished with 20 points and 17 rebounds, along with the game-sealing layup. Allen recorded 26 points and nine rebounds, while Kevin Durant concluded the game with 25 points and nine assists.
-The Sacramento Kings are showing regression from last season but took down the Portland Trail Blazers 121-118 in overtime. Domantas Sabonis nearly recorded a triple double with 27 points, 11 rebounds, and nine assists. Guard Malik Monk scored 23 points along with 10 assists in the absence of All-Star De’Aaron Fox.
-Nikola Jokic’s 35-point performance pushed the Denver Nuggets to a win over the Golden State Warriors. The Nuggets sit at 8-1 in the regular season, which places them first in the West. Forwards Michael Porter Jr. and Aaron Gordon combined for 31 points and 19 rebounds in the 108-105 victory.
