Western Conference Recap: LeBron James, Los Angeles Lakers Fall Short To Sacramento Kings In Overtime

All-Star De’Aaron Fox was the key factor in the Sacramento Kings overtime victory against the Los Angeles Lakers. Fox scored 37 points along with eight assists on 58.3 percent shooting. Center Domantas Sabonis finished the game with a double-double, while guard Malik Monk added 22 points.
LeBron James and Anthony Davis did their jobs, but Los Angeles' depth continues to find trouble. James and Davis combined for 57 points and 31 rebounds in the 132-127 defeat. Veteran forward Taurean Prince is earning minutes after his second double digit performance of the season.
- The Houston Rockets move to 0-3 in the regular season following a 106-95 defeat to the Golden State Warriors. Stephen Curry led the Warriors with 24 points but shot 37.5 percent. Forward Draymond Green encountered difficulties in his return, recording four points, five assists, and five rebounds.
The Rockets remain winless, but center Alpren Sengun continues to impress. He concluded the game with 19 points, seven assists, and five rebounds on 46.7 percent shooting.
- The Los Angeles Clippers balanced scoring attack led to a 123-83 win over Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs. All-Stars Kawhi Leonard and Paul George combined for 40 points. Veteran Russell Westbrook played an efficient game, scoring 19 points on 61.5 percent shooting.
San Antonio struggled to score, with no player recording 15 points. Wembanyama finished the game with 11 points and five rebounds on 40 percent shooting.
- Two-time MVP center Nikola Jokic led the way for the Denver Nuggets in their blowout victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder. He capped off the night with 28 points, 14 rebounds, and five assists on 75 percent shooting. Stars Jamal Murray and Michael Porter Jr. finished the night with a combined 39 points and 10 assists. Sophomore guard Christian Braun filled the box score with 13 points, seven rebounds, seven assists, a steal, and a block.
Oklahoma City superstar Shai Gilgeous-Alexander struggled with efficiency. He wrapped up the game with seven points on 12.5 percent shooting. The Thunder lose their first game of the season, 128-95.
