Western Conference Recaps, May 9: Nikola Jokic's Triple-Double Leads Denver Nuggets To Game 5 Victory Against Suns

Nikola Jokic had 29 points, 13 rebounds and 12 assists in 118-102 victory against Phoenix Suns

Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic made history while moving his team one victory from the Western Conference finals.

He had 29 points, 13 rebounds and 12 assists in a 118-102 victory against the Phoenix Suns in Game 5. His 10 playoff triple-doubles are now the most by a center in NBA history, passing Wilt Chamberlain.

“To be honest, I just like to win the game, so whatever it takes,” Jokic said.

Devin Booker led the Suns with 28 points while Kevin Durant added 26. The Nuggets can close it out Thursday in Phoenix.

“Yeah. I’ve been in here a couple of times now," Booker said. "I love it. Every game has is its own character. Every game is its own movie, its own different preparation and everything to go with it. We’re going watch over film, see how we can be better for Game 6.”
