Score Predictions for Hornets vs. Heat

Our staff picks who wins tonight's game between Charlotte and Miami.
In this story:

James Plowright: Heat 117, Hornets 103

Charlotte is simply missing too many key pieces to be competitive right now. The Heat themselves are missing Martin and Herro, but still have All-Stars Bam Adebayo and Jimmy Butler available and playing well. The Hornets have played Miami well in recent years, but I have a feeling it could get worse for Charlotte over the next week until it gets better with Bridges, Rozier and Miller returning.

Prediction record: 4-2.

Desmond Johnson: Heat 120, Hornets 105

It's at the Hive but Charlotte is missing multiple players still, including leading scorer Terry Rozier. Miller is day-to-day with a sprained ankle but I doubt he will be able to go 100% on such a short turnaround. LaMelo has stepped up his play the past week but the lack of defense for the Hornets is puzzling. Bam vs Mark Williams should be fun. Heat pull away in the 4th for the road win.

Prediction record: 1-4.

Atticus Ferguson: Heat 135 Hornets 117

I’m going to assume Brandon Miller returns for this matchup after hearing that he’s listed as day-to-day. Even with Miller’s return, I like Miami to take this one. Charlotte’s defensive gaffes continue to linger and the offense lacks balance, often times being overly reliant on star point guard LaMelo Ball. Miami outclasses Charlotte for a road W.

Prediction record: 3-0.

Will Eudy: Heat 110, Hornets 101

Assuming Terry Rozier and Brandon Miller are both unable to go in this one, Charlotte will have a hard time keeping up offensively. Miami is without a few key players as well in Herro and Martin, and Mark Williams will be able to give Bam Adebayo problems down low. But the Hornets will ultimately fall short once again.

Prediction record: 3-2.
