Score Predictions for Hornets vs. Wizards

Our staff picks tonight's game between Charlotte and Washington.
In this story:

James Plowright: Hornets 122, Wizards 115

A shaky start to the season for Washington has gone from bad to worse with Jordan Poole's level of play becoming a major concern. Charlotte beat the Wizards last time out behind a 4th quarter run from LaMelo Ball and a ferocious rebounding display again from Mark Williams. With Bridges back in the lineup to guard Kyle Kuzma, I think the Hornets will have too much for Washington.

Prediction record: 6-2.

Desmond Johnson: Hornets 115, Wizards 105

I'm not quite sure what the plan was in DC this year. The Hornets are coming off a huge OT win over the league leading Celtics on Tuesday night and HC Steve Clifford's lineup tweaks may be starting to work. I especially like inserting Miles Bridges into the starting lineup. Bridges with Ball, Williams, Hayward and Miller may be their best lineup going forward. Hornets ride the momentum from the Celtics win and close out the homestand with a win.

Prediction record: 2-5.

Will Eudy: Hornets 118, Wizards 109

Heading into the fourth game in six nights for Charlotte, the Hornets will be in need of some rest. But before a much needed three days off, they will get a favorable matchup in the Wizards. Steve Clifford talked about the need for consistency following such a huge win on Monday, and I believe the Hornets will find some here by taking care of an inferior opponent.

Prediction record: 5-4.
