'Thank You, Princess!': Knicks' Mitchell Robinson Welcomes First Child
New York Knicks center Mitchell Robinson celebrated the birth of Riley, his daughter, on Sunday, via TikTok. The New York interior threat joins Josh Hart as Knicks who have become new fathers this calendar year.
Nearly a month earlier, on June 28, fellow Knicks big man Isaiah Hartenstein came to support Robinson and Lindsey Luquet, his partner, at their baby shower. Luquet posted photos of the big day on social media, enjoying every part of the celebration.
"Still can't believe there are only a few short weeks until we get to take out girl home!" Luquet wrote. "Thank you to all of our friends and family who came from near and far to celebrate with us! We're so thankful baby girl has so many who love her already! Can't wait to meet you my princess."
Last week, Luquet took to Instagram to thank her unborn "princess" during the final days of her pregnancy.
"One last time, because this one deserved its own post," Luquet said. "Thank you my princess for the most amazing and beautiful time in my life! See you soon baby!"
Robinson, 25, will be entering his sixth season in the NBA this fall. He averaged only 7.4 points per game last season, but his 67.1 field goal percentage was the 15th-best in the NBA. New York's primary center was also incredibly active on the glass averaging 9.4 rebounds in 59 appearances. The 4.5 he pulled down on the offensive glass were good for second-best in the Association.
