Lakers Injury Report: Darvin Ham Provides Update On Ailing LeBron James

Will the LA All-Star suit up?

Your 24-24 Los Angeles Lakers will already be without one All-Star tonight, for the second game of a back-to-back set of bouts, this one a road clash against the 19-27 Atlanta Hawks.

Center Anthony Davis is set to miss the action with a bilateral Achilles tendinopathy and a left hip spasm.

With the clock ticking ahead of the game's 4:30 p.m. PT tipoff, LeBron James remains something of a game-time decision.

Per Jovan Buha of The Athletic, head coach Darvin Ham indicates that the 6'9" superstar is currently in the midst of his pregame prep in Atlanta. Ham suggests his best offensive player will "hopefully" suit up.

Through 43 healthy games with Los Angeles, James is averaging 25 points on a .523/.399/.736 slash line, 7.7 assists, 7.4 rebounds, 1.3 steals and 0.6 blocks a night. But the 39-year-old's availability hasn't really helped LA's three-point shooting-challenged offense much this year.

LA's 113.8 offensive rating slots it at a lackluster No. 20 in the league, so James' impact hasn't been quite as resounding as perhaps it would have been in his prime. That said, were he to sit, the Lakers would stand virtually no chance against a high-octane Hawks offense, led by chucker extraordinaire Trae Young.
