Lakers Injury Report: Fates Of 3 Ailing Starters Revealed Vs Celtics

A pertinent Christmas update!

Three of your Los Angeles Lakers starters, who had previously been questionable to play this afternoon against the Boston Celtics, will ultimately suit up after all -- as will several reserves!

Per Jovan Buha of The Athletic, All-Star Lakers Anthony Davis (left ankle sprain/bone bruise) and LeBron James (left ankle peroneal tendinopathy) and starting small forward Cam Reddish (left groin soreness) will play tonight.

Los Angeles power forwards Jarred Vanderbilt (who's been dealing with left heel bursitis all year, but is finally actually playing through it) and Rui Hachimura (left ankle wrist soreness), both of whom had been probable to play, will indeed be playing against LA's biggest historic rival, after all.

The only absence for Los Angeles will be reserve point guard Gabe Vincent, set to go under the knife for a left knee effusion as soon as tomorrow. He could be out for 6-8 more weeks.

On the Celtics side, two key big men -- starting center Kristaps Porzingis (questionable with a left ankle sprain) and backup Luke Kornet (probable with a left adductor strain) -- may not suit up. Wings Svi Mykhailiuk (left heel contusion) and Lamar Stevens (non-COVID-19 illness) are both also questionable.

The action tips off at 2 p.m. PT on ESPN and ABC.
