Lakers Injury Report: Key Reserve Ruled Out, Another Doubtful for Battle of LA Against Clippers

The Lakers are already getting hit with the injury bug.

The Los Angeles Lakers are taking on the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday night in the first battle of LA of the 2023 season.

The Clippers, fresh off their trade for James Harden, will look to win their 12th straight against the Lakers. While Harden won't be playing, superstars Paul George and Kawhi Leonard will be suiting up for the Clippers on the second night of a back-to-back. Additionally, P.J. Tucker, who came along in the Harden trade, is hoping to be cleared to play assuming the trade goes through in time.

On the Lakers side of things, they're starting to get hit with the injury bug.

We already knew Jarred Vanderbilt and Jalen Hood-Schifino would be out, but key reserve Rui Hachimura was ruled out for the second straight game with his left eye contusion.

Additionally, another key reserve in Gabe Vincent was downgraded to doubtful, as he's dealing with left knee soreness.

The already shrinking LA rotation is bound to get smaller against their rival Clippers, and with the Clips fully healthy (all things considered), the Lakers will have to rely even more on superstars LeBron James and Anthony Davis to get the job done.

Hopefully Max Christie gets some run if Vincent is unable to play, as the second-year player has been itching to get on the court all season long.

Additionally on the injury report, Cam Reddish is considered probable to play with right foot soreness.

We'll continue to provide updates on the status of Vincent and Reddish, so stay tuned on AllLakers.com.
