Clippers Superstar Admits Team Feels Like ‘Little Bros’ to Lakers

The differences between the franchises remain!

There has been a divide between the Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers for quite some time and it's been more evident over the past few decades. Even though both franchises came from different cities originally, the Lakers' 17 championships heavily, heavily outweigh the zero that the Clippers have won. Seeing that LA is one of the biggest markets in the world, fans are hardcore and if winning isn't happening, it's hard to get a hold over the city.

However, when the Clippers were able to land both Kawhi Leonard and Paul George in the same offseason that the Lakers were able to pair LeBron James and Anthony Davis, it appeared that the battle of LA was bound to happen. The Clippers never had this type of perimeter star power and seeing how deep their roster was, many fans believed they were the title favorites.

But fast forward four years later and they do not even have a Finals appearance. Injuries and playoff struggles have unfortunately broken their teams down each year and they have revamped their roster once again to try and go the full mile in the 2023-2024 season.

At this point, it's clear which team the city of Los Angeles usually sides with Clippers superstar Paul George admitted on his 'Podcast P' that the team sometimes feels like 'little bros' to the Lakers.

"I talked earlier how we share a spot with the Lakers at Crypto," said George. "We share the space there and it's a weird dynamic because we'll go in the weight room and Bron got his s**t. It's crazy, Bron got his s**t with his logos on it and it just feels like it's the Lakers... It feels like we the little bros over there."

It definitely is interesting to think that the Lakers and Clippers have shared an arena for quite some time. However, both teams will look forward to 2024 when the Clippers move their new arena in Inglewood.
