Lakers Injury Report: Brandon Ingram Availability Updated For Pelicans Game
New Orleans Pelicans star forward Brandon Ingram, who was the key player exchanged in your Los Angeles Lakers' trade for future Hall of Famer Anthony Davis, has officially been ruled available to make his return to the hardwood today, following a two-game ankle injury absence.
Ingram had previously been listed as "questionable" for tonight's festivities. Davis himself had been considered merely "probable" to play. Now it appears that AD, too, has been cleared by the Lakers' medical staff to suit up.
This year, the 2020 All-Star New Orleans forward has missed more games (37) than he's played (31), but has been characteristically effective when he has been available.
He immediately becomes the most lethal scoring threat that your Lakers will need to account for as they strives to inch closer to a .500 record. Both the Pelicans and Lakers sport a 33-35 record heading into this matchup.
The 6'8" combo forward out of Duke, still just 25, is averaging 22.9 points on .470/.393/.868 shooting splits, 5.0 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 0.7 steals a night. He's a terrific three-level scorer, although his skinny build has left him a bit more vulnerable to injuries than a standard small forward (ancient players like sidelined Lakers star LeBron James excluded, of course).
