Lakers News: How LeBron James Is Feeling About Retirement Threat

Seems like something changed with the King!
In this story:

Right after the Lakers were swept out of the playoffs, LeBron James made some interesting comments about his potential retirement. This spurred much speculation across the NBA but nobody really believed that he would just walk away. James showed that he is still playing at a very high level, as he scored 40 points in the Lakers final game. But the threat was put out there for the first time and it now seems that the end of his career may be coming sooner than people may have thought.

Bally Sports inside Brandon "Scoop B" Robinson provided some information on the potential retirement of James.

So it seems that James may not be retiring after all. It likely was a mix of frustration from being swept and him being tired after the long season that led to James making his comments.

Many in he industry never thought that James would actually walk away and while we haven't heard anything official from James himself, his recent instagram posts on the Lakers free agency may give a hint as well.

Based on this, it seems that James has been a fan of the moves that the team has made. This easily could lead to him returning for his 21st season and his sixth as a member of the purple and gold.

I'm sure we will get more official notice on the plans of James as we get closer to the start of training camp. But for now, we can all just speculate.
