The Los Angeles Lakers ferociously stormed back from a massive fourth-quarter deficit last night against the rival Los Angeles Clippers to earn a major win. It was a win that Los Angeles desperately needed to help keep themselves afloat in the playoff race.

In the fourth quarter, superstar LeBron James scored or assisted on 11 of the 13 field goals from the team. It was the type of game from James that we have become accustomed to throughout his career, but is somewhat of a rarity with his advanced age now

James spoke about doing what he needed to do to help the team win after the game.

“Just got to do what I gotta do,” James said. “If I’m in a lineup, if I’m on the floor, I got to make plays. Sometimes I got to make even more plays. And tonight was one of those moments where I had to make even more plays in order for us to even get back into the game and then ultimately win the game.”

The Lakers superstar finished the game with 34 points, six rebounds and eight assists on the night. He was the catalyst for this Lakers team at the end of the game, reminding everyone of what he is capable of.

His co-star, Anthony Davis, had an interesting way to describe the show that James put on.

“Sicko mode,” Anthony Davis called it.

However, you want to call it, James put the team on his back. They needed to grab this win, especially with a few members of the Clippers out due to injury.

“He had to take the cape, tuck it under his seat on the bench, I guess. It was time for him to whip it out. He definitely did that, put the cape on, and just got aggressive and got into good rhythm,” Darvin Ham said. “He’s been shooting the ball extremely well this whole entire season. And that was just another case of it. Once he got in rhythm and with his playmaking skills, he sets the tone with his shooting and going downhill. But then once they start scheming and trying to hit double team late, he was able to pick them apart with the pass and that’s just who he is.”

With the season slowly coming to a finish in a few weeks, the Lakers need all the wins they can get. They want to push for a top-six spot in the Western Conference standings, so a few solid weeks of play will be needed to make it a reality.
