Lakers News: LeBron James Reportedly Considering Kyrie Irving's Plan to Team Up in Dallas

Could we actually see this blockbuster trade fall through?
In this story:

Slowly but surely, LeBron James is returning to his normal self. The King has been seen doing press for 'Shooting Stars', a film recently released that tells the story os his own upbringing and high school career and has also become active on social media once again.

Not much else has been teased directly by the multi-champion forward when it comes to his apparent retirement plans so silence included with a cryptic Instagram story, it appears that James will stick to the plan and run it back in LA next season.

Or will he? It has been no secret that over the past few years, star point guard Kyrie Irving has come to his senses and realized just how good he had it back in Cleveland with James. The former Duke product was eager to venture out and be the head of his own team but now finds himself on a Dallas Mavericks squad with no identity and a lackluster rotation.

Shams Charania of The Athletic broke the new two days ago that instead of Irving demanding a trade to James' team like the story usually goes, he was now instead trying to convince his former teammates that he should be the one to pack his bags this time.

After all of the failed superteams as of late along with the fact that Dallas just traded away majority of their depth for Irving a handful of months ago, the majority of the NBA world took this report with a grain of salt.

Nobody expects James to drop everything he's built in LA, both on and off the court, and go play for the Mavericks at 38-years-old with just two years left on his contract.

But it's looking like maybe when we just think that we know a single aspect of James' mind, he is right there to ensure we never know. Bally Sports West's Brandon 'Scoop B' Robinson apparently received word that James and Irving spoke over the phone recently and The King assured the eight-time All-Star that he would think about joining him in Dallas.

Robinson shared the news on Twitter:

Was told that Kyrie asked LeBron to come Dallas and play for the Mavs LeBron’s reply on the phone was: “I’ll think about it.”

I fully expect to hear reports like this for the next string of weeks so we'll be sure to keep you guys updated!
