Lakers News: Magic Johnson Parties with Dream Team Comrade in Italy
Years before Michael Jordan became one of the most iconic professional athletes of all time as he forged a legendary career with the Chicago Bulls in the 1990's, majority of basketball fans at all ages were tuning in to see Magic Johnson run the fast break with the Showtime Lakers. During a time when the NBA was struggling to draw in a large amount of viewers, Magic's unique play style along with his uncanny rivalry with Larry Bird and the Boston Celtics.
But Magic eventually did run in to the Chicago Bulls led by Jordan himself in the 1991 NBA Finals and everybody was ready for this one. Jordan was trying to prove to the world that he was the next face of the league while Magic was trying to hold on to that title as they kicked off the 90's. However, it was Air who came out on top and captured his first NBA championship as the Bulls took out Los Angeles in five games.
Even though Chicago won pretty easily, we still got some great moments between two of the game's biggest superstars.
And it was also a pleasure seeing the two of them actually share the floor together as they were the backcourt on the 1992 Team USA 'Dream Team.' This squad remains one of the best we've ever seen in any sport when you consider the talent, resumes and fanbases all of their guys with a roster spot brought.
But Johnson's and Jordan's friendship did not stop when their playing careers did. The two still bond over plenty such as golf, television opportunities and most recently, a dinner at the Da Paolino Ristorante. Johnson had some keen words for the Bulls legend in his recent Instagram post.
"I got to hang out with my great friend and the greatest basketball player to ever live, Michael Jordan, and his wife Yvette, Sam and LaTanya Jackson, Judge Greg and Linda Mathis, and John and Vicki Palmer."

It's great to see the two of them still enjoying life together post NBA-stardom!
