Lakers News: Nuggets Role Player Reveals When He Knew LeBron James Was Out Of Gas In Game 4

Just stop throwing shade and enjoy your title...

The narrative surrounding the Los Angeles Lakers and Denver Nuggets continues after the two teams met in the Western Conference Finals for the second time in four seasons. Denver coach Mike Malone started the trash talk against LA during the series and then afterward. He was frustrated that LA got more media coverage than the Nuggets, despite Denver actually winning the matchup.

The talk died for a few weeks as the Nuggets faced the Miami Heat in the NBA Finals but at the parade, it came back. Someone with Malone said that he was the Lakers daddy and it went from there.

It has been a weird energy coming from Denver and only recently has anyone from the Lakers side talked back. Head coach Darvin Ham said that “this s**t ain’t over” in regard to Malone.

Recently former Nugget Bruce Brown continued the talking and said that the Nuggets never felt they would lose a game to LA during the series. He added that Lakers star LeBron James was "done" after the first half. From then, the Nuggets went on to sweep LA and the rest was history.

This is quite the talk from Brown as James was giving his best effort to keep the Lakers season alive. He was incredible in the first half and as the second half started, many believed LA could steal this game. But not Brown.

“Bron…he was gonna have to score 60,” said Brown. “He was done.”

This just continues the strange shade coming from Denver toward the Lakers. I understand that they beat LA and have the right to talk, but this just seems excessive.

Brown recently signed with the Indiana Pacers during free agency so when the teams match up next season, he won't be there. But rest assured that when LA sees him against Indiana, they will remember these comments.

The matchups between the Lakers and Denver next year will also be must-watch TV and if the NBA is smart, they will make them nationally televised.
