Lakers News: Nuggets Role Player Throws Shade On LA’s Conference Finals Play

Weird energy coming from the rocky mountains...

We are over a month past from the NBA season ending and even longer since the Denver Nuggets eliminated the Los Angeles Lakers in the Western Conference Finals. And yet, Denver can’t seem to stop talking about LA.

It’s a weird energy coming from all sorts of members of the organization and until recently, it had mainly been the head coach Michael Malone and fans.

But now we have a player that has spoken up about the Lakers and it just seems unnecessary at this point. Forward Nuggets guard Bruce Brown recently spoke about the team’s playoff run and shaded the Lakers for no reason.

"It never felt like we were gonna lose (to the Lakers) any game. Even when they went on they little run...it never felt like we were about to lose"

Per Bruce Brown

I understand that he was talking about the playoffs as a whole but he focused on the Lakers. This entire thing feels unwarranted and is just strange. He continued on about LA as well.

The Nuggets have a right to talk because they did beat the Lakers but the amount of shade being thrown to LA is odd to me. Brown recently signed with the Indiana Pacers and is no longer a member of the Denver Nuggets so when the teams meet next season, he won't be apart of it.

LeBron James and head coach Darvin Ham have responded to the Nuggets trash talk towards LA.

The Nuggets have a right to talk because they did beat the Lakers but the amount of shade being thrown to LA is odd to me. All I know is that when Denver and the Lakers meet next season, fireworks will happen.

Enjoy your title Denver, you earned it. But just remember to keep the same energy next season if the Lakers are the ones to come out on top. Hopefully the basketball gods let these two teams meet again in the Western Conference Finals as we may have a mini-rivalry brewing here.
