Lakers News: Reporter Shares Hilarious Anecdote About Departing Role Player’s Progeny

Quite the locker room shenanigans!
In this story:

The Los Angeles Lakers had their fair share of fun in the second half of the 2022-2023 NBA season and rightfully so, they were winning plenty of games and that group was gelling better than any LA squad in the past two years. They received plenty of contributions from numerous young guys such as Austin Reaves, Rui Hachimura and even Lonnie Walker IV when he got opportunities and we got a ton of great moments all across the board.

Some that immediately come to mind are when Austin Reaves closed out game one against the Memphis Grizzlies and yelled 'I'm Him!' along with Rui Hachimura dropping 29 points off the bench. However, some of their best and most funny moments actually came off of the court.

Even though Malik Beasley is no longer with the organization, Dan Woike of the Los Angeles Times revealed a hilarious story involving a time when Beasley's son found his way into the Lakers' locker room last season.

"I'll never forget the time Malik Beasley's kid came into the locker room, took a piece of ice out AD's foot bucket and went to eat it while everyone in the room yelled "Noooooooooooooooooooooo."

These are the types of moments that always bring a team closer to one another. Even though the NBA is a business and players are on the move every couple of months, it's great to know that Beasley and his family still had a great bond with the entire team.

Beasley will now be suiting up for the Milwaukee Bucks so if LA is able to go the full mile and make it to the NBA Finals next season, they may run into a familiar face!
