Lakers News: Toronto's Trade Price For Bruce Brown Jr. Revealed

The Lakers are currently suitors for the NBA champion.

A potential trade target for your Los Angeles Lakers ahead of the deadline is Bruce Brown of the Toronto Raptors.

Brown was an integral member of the Denver Nuggets' title team last season, averaging 12 points and 4 rebounds on 51% shooting from the field throughout their playoff run.

The University of Miami product signed with the Indiana Pacers this past offseason, putting up 12 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists while playing in and starting all 33 games.

He was recently dealt to the Raptors as part of the Pascal Siakam trade, but given Toronto's desire to rebuild (Brown doesn't fit their timeline), the team is actively shopping him.

As it pertains to Brown's asking price, NBA reporter Marc Stein writes that "Toronto Raptors are seeking a first-round pick and young player for Bruce Brown," suggesting that the Lakers, in this situation, would end up having to give up a first-round pick and one of Jalen Hood-Schifino or Max Christie.

The Knicks are also heavy suitors for Brown, but they'll likely have a better package than the Lakers. With more draft picks and better young players, expect them to outbid LA if it comes to that. Brown would undoubtedly be a valuable add to either team, making the pursuit of him a priority.
